1st Grade- Johnny Appleseed Day


On Friday September 23rd, First Grade had a surprise visit from Johnny Appleseed!

The Students celebrated apples by doing many fun activities revolving around apples. The students even made applesauce and ended the day by eating it! YUM:)

East Meadows PTA Carnival


Mark your calendars for Monday September 26th 5:00 - 7:30 PM

East Meadows PTA is having a fundraiser with lots of food, fun and several attractions for the whole family!

There will be 7 large attractions such as a rock wall, train, slides, obstacle course and more! There will also be carnival games. 

Envelopes were sent home with your students with the option to prepay please return this envelope by Friday September 23rd. Tickets and wristbands will be available for purchase that evening as well.

5th Grade Colonial Day


Our 5th grades students had Colonial Day last Friday. They had different stations they went to and learned so many fun things. 

They made "Jonny Cakes"  made candles and played Colonial games. They also learned a Colonial Dance. 

The students had so much fun! They love Colonial Day!

4th Grade Native American Unit

Our 4th graders have been busy learning about the Native Americans the past few weeks.

They had a guest speaker from the Paiute Indian Tribe. It was very interesting to listen to her, see her native dress and listen to her interesting stories.

The students learned how to weave baskets, make rugs, and they also made a diorama.

The students really enjoyed this unit!

Nursery Rhyme Diorama Day


Our kindergarten classes have been busy making dioramas representing different nursery rhymes. The students had so much and they are so creative! We have the greatest students and teachers at East Meadows!

Box Top Drive

This is a great way for our school to earn money! 


1st Week of School A Success


It was a fun first week of school at East Meadows!

We had Spirit Week and lots of fun activities. We started off with a Jumprope assembly on Tuesday. Wednesday Principal Gledhill and Mrs. Beck went to each classroom and they did an art project which will hang in the front hall of the school. The students participated in field days on Thursday. They dressed in their favorite Olympic sport or a artist, musician or anything else they felt was a strength of theirs.  They played olympic games and had popcicles. On Friday we introduced our "Gold Medal" team of teachers and our theme for the year. "Go For The Gold"  After the students went outside and we had a concert/dance party!

The students loved it! We love East Meadows!!!

Nebo bus drivers and attendants wanted


Nebo bus drivers and attendants wanted. The district provides needed training. Daily routes are open for the beginning of school. Starting pay for drivers is $15.23 and attendants $11.32. Please apply online at www.nebo.edu/jobs.

5th Grade Study States


Our 5th grade classes have been busy learning all about the United States.

They were assigned a state and had to research the state, write a report on the state, and make a diorama.

They were very creative and they learned so much!
