Submitted by madie.treanor on

The East Meadow fifth grade students visited the Utah State Capitol building. The building houses the offices of the Utah Governor, as well as the Utah State Legislature. While there, the students learned interesting facts about the state of Utah and came to better understand the judicial, legislative, and executive branches of government.

4th Grade - Science Energy Transfers

Submitted by madie.treanor on

4th grade has been learning about energy transfers for science! Today, students were able to create their own Rube Goldberg machines. These machines use a set of reactions one after another in order trigger a final event. These students each received a bag of supplies and started building! We love seeing how creative they are!

5th Grade - Revolutionary War Field Trip

Submitted by madie.treanor on

The fifth graders had a fun time at the Revolutionary War walking field trip. They learned about General Von Steuben and his drill commands. They played games that soldiers would’ve played to pass the time away. Cats cradle and Pick up sticks were their favorites.  They made tricorn hats and even had a grade level drill down. Thanks to all our parent volunteers!
