Heave Ho Award for February
Picture revised
Jamie Pintar loves sports. She loves to watch and participate. She is very competitive in all she does. She hates to lose! In her spare time she loves to read and refinish old furniture. She still holds the state long jump record set in 1996! She ran track for BYU and was a BYU fan until she married a Utah Fan! She eventually changed teams to keep peace in her house.
East Meadows students were honored in our Good As Gold award assembly for February. The Heave Ho Award that honored students that pushed through a tough obstacle. The Jolly Roger Award recognized students with a good attitude. Students that were given the Ahoy Matey Award were caught being a good friend. We also had the Shipshape Award for those that were caught helping around the school or were picking up in their classroom. The Shiver Me Timbers Award was for students that had done something truly amazing.
Out of the 14 projects we sent to the district science fair, 10 are moving on to regionals at BYU! We are so proud of all the students that participated in the district fair.
Students moving on are:
Fifth Grade: Kayla Huish, Zachary Kessinger, Everett Fussell, Kylee Olsen and Ana Saiz.
