Our 3rd grade classes went on a field trip to Salem Pond.
They had different rotations where they learned about the wet lands system.
The students had a great time and they learned so much.

Our Gold Medal Winners for September were recognized at an assembly for being outstanding students at our school! We have the best students at East Meadows!

On Friday September 23rd, First Grade had a surprise visit from Johnny Appleseed!
The Students celebrated apples by doing many fun activities revolving around apples. The students even made applesauce and ended the day by eating it! YUM:)

East Meadows PTA is having a fundraiser with lots of food, fun and several attractions for the whole family!
There will be 7 large attractions such as a rock wall, train, slides, obstacle course and more! There will also be carnival games.
Envelopes were sent home with your students with the option to prepay please return this envelope by Friday September 23rd. Tickets and wristbands will be available for purchase that evening as well.
Please come and support our PTA and our great school!
Our 5th grades students had Colonial Day last Friday. They had different stations they went to and learned so many fun things.
They made "Jonny Cakes" made candles and played Colonial games. They also learned a Colonial Dance.
The students had so much fun! They love Colonial Day!
Don't forget it is early out on Monday September 19th at 12:00.
Our 4th graders have been busy learning about the Native Americans the past few weeks.
They had a guest speaker from the Paiute Indian Tribe. It was very interesting to listen to her, see her native dress and listen to her interesting stories.
The students learned how to weave baskets, make rugs, and they also made a diorama.
The students really enjoyed this unit!
Our kindergarten classes have been busy making dioramas representing different nursery rhymes. The students had so much and they are so creative! We have the greatest students and teachers at East Meadows!
Don't forget to turn in your BOX TOPS this week!
Have your grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and neighbors save their Box Tops!
This is a great way for our school to earn money!
