Veteran's Day

Submitted by madie.treanor on

We honored and celebrated Veteran's Day with an assembly where we learned more about the brave sacrifice that men and women have taken all over to serve our country. The students of East Meadows showed a lot of respect by sitting quietly and listening to each of our veterans. At one point during the assembly a video was played where the sound wasn't working, students say silently and watched the video without making a sound. It was very cool to see the respect that these students showed. At the end of the assembly students sang God Bless America and it was amazing.

Congratulations to Nicole Steiner, this year's Crystal Apple Award recipient!  Mrs. Steiner was nominated and chosen by her peers as an exemplary teacher and staff member.  She brings light, laughter and fun to everything she undertakes and it is an honor having her at East Meadows.  We love you Mrs. Steiner!

A Spooky Night of Fun!

Many thanks to the East Meadows PTA for hosting the first ever East Meadows Spook Alley Fundraiser.  The weather couldn't have been more perfect as parents and families enjoyed a fun filled evening.  There was a cornhole competition, pumpkin carving contest, silent auction, treats, drinks and of course, the Spook Alley!  Such a fun night for our East Meadows Community!
