September 10th was United Way's "Day of Caring"

We had over 60 volunteers from Mt. View Hospital, Americas First Credit Union and from  the Utah County Commissioners office and staff.  The Volunteers read to the students and had various activities for them. The students then made hands with a pledge to "Hands on Reading" the hands were then placed on a poster that will hang in the hall at our school.

Worm Day in Mrs. Mecham's Class

Submitted by linda.beck on

Mrs. Mecham's class had worm day last week. The students learned about living things and worm day started them out right. They observed and experimented with how the worm reacted to water, light and different gound colors.  They researched the parts of the worm, what they eat and how they help us. The students also got to take a worm home after they created a proper environment in a jar.

Jog-a-thon Results

Submitted by trisha.olsen on

Thank you to all of you who donated to our school jog-a-thon and to all the kids that ran & walked to earn it. It was a HUGE success!  We brought in about $9600.  That's just $300 dollars short of our goal.  We will be putting in 2 tether ball courts on the playground for the kids.  The school will use some of the money to buy any technology and/or supplies they need and some will go into the PTA budget for next year's PTA sponsored activities.  We celebrated the top 3 classes to earn the most money with a smoothie party on Thursday.  Mrs.
