Good As Gold

Jamie Pintar loves sports. She loves to watch and participate.  She is very competitive in all she does. She hates to lose! In her spare time she loves to read and refinish old furniture. She still holds the state long jump record set in 1996! She ran track for BYU and was a BYU fan until she married a Utah Fan! She eventually changed teams to keep peace in her house.

 

Whitney Gasser loves Mexican food! She is an adrenaline junky! She loves roller coasters and skydiving.  Ice cream is her dessert of choice (especially Haagen Dazs).  She has lived in 5 different countries and loves learning about the world! She also is fluent in 4 languages!

 

Linda Beck loves to spend time with her family.  She lives on a farm west of town and loves living in the country. She and her husband have 3 sons and 1 daughter who are all married and living in Spanish Fork. She has 4 grandchildren that she adores! (3 granddaughters and 1 grandson)  She loves to cook and sew and travel.

 

Katherine Beck loves Coke and fries, it is her favorite meal! She also loves cats! She is married to her high school sweetheart and has 5 darling children, 4 girls and 1 boy! She loves to run early in the morning. She also is great at hand stand contests!

 

Julie Hammari loves a good hamburger and root beer. She really likes to sew, especially quilts. She is very handy around the house with the basics from plumbing to electrical work.  She likes to bake, especially pies and bread.  She grew up in central California.

 

Lisa Ross is married and has 3 children. She loves to read and loves crafts especially scrapbooking and cards. She plays the piano and loves listening to music. She was on the BYU Folk Dance team. One time she sang a song with Barry Manilow on stage!

February Good As Good Awards

Attributions: 

East Meadows students were honored in our Good As Gold award assembly for February. The Heave Ho Award that honored students that pushed through a tough obstacle.  The Jolly Roger Award recognized students with a good attitude.  Students that were given the Ahoy Matey Award were caught being a good friend.  We also had the Shipshape Award for those that were caught helping around the school or were picking up in their classroom.  The Shiver Me Timbers Award was for students that had done something truly amazing.  Those receiving the Crow's Nest Award saw something that needed to be done and did it. Finally, those that were given the All Hands On Deck Award were caught working well as a team.  Way to go East Meadows students!!  Keep up the good work!!

District Science Fair Winners

Out of the 14 projects we sent to the district science fair, 10 are moving on to regionals at BYU! We are so proud of all the students that participated in the district fair.
