Jog-a-thon Results

Submitted by trisha.olsen on Fri, 05/29/2015 - 11:18

Thank you to all of you who donated to our school jog-a-thon and to all the kids that ran & walked to earn it. It was a HUGE success!  We brought in about $9600.  That's just $300 dollars short of our goal.  We will be putting in 2 tether ball courts on the playground for the kids.  The school will use some of the money to buy any technology and/or supplies they need and some will go into the PTA budget for next year's PTA sponsored activities.  We celebrated the top 3 classes to earn the most money with a smoothie party on Thursday.  Mrs.

5th Grade State Fair

Submitted by trisha.olsen on Wed, 05/20/2015 - 13:46

The fifth graders end the school year by learning about one of the 50 United States.  They each chose a state and learned interesting facts about that state.  They wrote reports, made power points and made diorama's of their state.  They were all put on display in their classrooms for parents and students to parade through and view thus calling it a State Fair.

JOG-A-THON

Submitted by trisha.olsen on Tue, 05/19/2015 - 13:40

East Meadows students participated in their first jog-a-thon as a school on Monday, May 18, 2015.  The money is being raised to help put in some tetherball stands, support the PTA for next year's activities and give back to the school for any needs they may have.  We want to give a big shout out to all those students who ran and walked yesterday. We will post the results next week as to the amount of money we were able raise. Thank you to all you parents, grand-parents, aunts, uncles, neighbors and anyone else who sponsored an East Meadows Student!

4th Grade Nature Field Trip

Submitted by trisha.olsen on Fri, 05/08/2015 - 12:09

Although the fourth grade field trip got changed due to weather conditions up Diamond Fork Canyon they still enjoyed a day seeing and being in nature.  They traveled down to the Spanish Fork Sports Park and walked along the river trail.  They had a speaker talk to them about a variety of birds such as: owls, hawks, pheasants, etc.  They ate lunch at the park and played sharks and minnows and partner tag.  All in all they still had a great time despite the weather.
