Today was our Mustang Pride Assembly. We had a couple of students from each class recognized as showing their Mustang Effort for Feburary.

We are so proud of all of our students and for the effort they are putting forth to be such outstanding students at East Meadows! They are all amazing!

Mrs. Beary and Peterson's class was the "Spirit Award" winner this month. They had the most students wearing our school colors and showing School Spirit! Congratulations to our cute 1st grade class!

We had such a great turn out to our PTA Book and Buddies!  It was a packed house:) Thanks to all that helped make this possible and thanks to all of you for your support of East Meadows! We have a great school, great students, great parents and a great staff!

Friday February 28th at 7:45 - 8:15 AM will be East Meadows Elementary Books and Buddies.

Each student will recieve a book to keep and have a doughnut to eat while they read with a buddy! We appreciate our PTA for providing this activity for our students! TOGETHER WE READ!!!

We had our Fiesta Days Rodeo Assembly today and the students loved it! Some teachers even had to "Run Barrels" it was some fun watching that!  The students were encouraged to read all they can during the month of March. They were told to try and read double of what they normally do, that was they could possibly win a trophy for the most minutes out of the other schools in Spanish Fork. Reading calendars will be coming home soon so watch for them. The calendars will be due April 3rd.  East Meadows "Together We Read!"

We are so proud of our students that went to the DIstrict Science Fair! They all did an amazing job! Way to go!

The Mustang Pride Board Winners this time had an Ice Cream party with Mr. Duncan! They  had such a great time! We are so proud of our students at East Meadows and for all the great things they are doing to get a Mustange Pride Ticket! Way to go!

5th grade students at East Meadows had Mr Evans from Discovery Gateway come and were able to have a hands on chemistry lesson. He taught them about physical and chemical reactions. This goes along with the 5th grade science unit on matter.

After the assembly he let each class have a hands on experience with science experiment. They had a great time and learned so much!

Mr. Duncan was chosen as  Nebo School District's National Distinguished Principal!   They take each district's NDP and vote on one winner to represent the State of Utah.  That is decided on in a few months. Good Luck To Mr. Duncan!

We are so happy to have Mr. Duncan at East Meadows! He has been an amazing addition to our school! He truly cares about our school, the students, their families and the staff here! We are so proud of this him and this award that he has recieved! It is well deserved!
