4th Grade Native American Unit

Submitted by linda.beck on

Our 4th graders have been busy learning about the Native Americans the past few weeks.

They had a guest speaker from the Paiute Indian Tribe. It was very interesting to listen to her, see her native dress and listen to her interesting stories.

The students learned how to weave baskets, make rugs, and they also made a diorama.

The students really enjoyed this unit!

The first week of school was AWESOME!!! We have such great students, faculty and staff here at East Meadows!

Today we had an assembly. We had the Chick-Fil-A cow come and teach our students about being respectful and polite. We want our students to be kind to everyone!

We learned our new school dance! We had great teachers teaching the students.

We also had a DJ come and have an outdoor concert in the back for our students, they loved it!

We love our students and appreciate what great kids they are!

We are off to a great year!
