We are so proud of the amazing students here at East Meadows!
They all worked so hard on their projects! The projects were all so interesting and informative! I'm sure it was hard for our judges to decide! We are only able to take 15 on to the District Level. We would love to have taken more!
Congratulations to the 15 going on!

Our Crystal Apple Award goes to Alison Bennett!
Alison is such a loving, caring, and compassionate person, who would do anything to help out not only her students by all those she comes in contact with! She has a love for teaching and interacting with students. You can tell that Alison has a way of making her students feel loved and cared about by the way her students adore her.
Remember there is no school on Monday January 21st.
This weekend at the Art City Chess Tournament East Meadows recieved 3rd place out of 22 schools! To determine winning schools, they take the four highest team members scores and add those together, the highest score wins. That way any team with at least four players can win for their school. Bigger teams have a better chance at winning. They were really impressed that East Meadows was in the top three schools with such a small team this year.
Congratulations to
Ryken Brown ~ 1st place in 6th grade (He had a perfect game, not one loss!)
