Safety Assembly

Submitted by trisha.olsen on

The PTA and the student council joined together to put on a safety assembly for our students.  With school coming to an end and summer break fast approaching it is good to review some safety tips.  They reviewed such things as bicycle safety, crossing the street safely, wearing the proper clothing,  and stranger and pet danger.  Officer Warner, from the Spanish Fork Police Department talked with students and encouraged them to follow these safety guidelines and to wear helmets when they ride their bikes or scooters.  Each student was sent home with a safety pledge to be signed by them and their parents.  If they are turned in they will be put in for a drawing for a helmet.  The Utah County Department of Health donated 100 new helmets to our school.  We want all of our East Meadows students to have a FUN and SAFE summer break.
