The student’s at East Meadows Elementary enjoyed a music filled assembly by “Mamas Wranglers.”  Formerly known as "The Kid Fiddler's." The Jackson Family Band is from Las Vegas, Nevada.  They have traveled all over the United States performing at various venues.  It consists of mom and her children showing their love of music with students.  They encouraged all children to learn to play a musical instrument which has been proven to help in their brain development.  They talked with students about practicing and how important it is to practice.  That is when the benefit of developing the brain happens. The instruments they played were the fiddle, the banjo,  the guitar, the mandolin and the bass guitar.  They sang, yodeled and danced.  Haven Young a student said of the assembly, “it was fun.”  She already plays the guitar.  Most importantly they showed students they can have fun while learning to play music.
