Jen Jolley is the Daily Hearld's Educator of the Week

This week, the Daily Herald is honoring Jennifer Jolley, a teacher at East Meadows Elementary in Nebo School District.

Jolley teaches first grade and has been an educator for 21 years. She believes all children have the ability to learn and accomplish amazing things.

Those at her school believe Jolley is an amazing mentor as she works to build the success of her teammates. She shares her expertise through lesson development, insight and management ideas. She has been called a valuable member of the faculty as she is willing to help out in any way that is asked. She serves on the school's wellness and social committee.

Beyond her prestige as a teacher, Jolley received Outstanding Student Award at Utah State University's special education department. She also is Reading Recovery certified and has ESL, Mathematics and Reading endorsements.

Outside of classes, Jolley is invovled with horse training and instructing riding lessons. She also enjoys reading, skiing and running.

She graduated from Utah State University with a bachelor's in elementary education and special education, and received a master's from Southern Utah University.

Jolley grew up in Payson and resides in West Mountain with her husband and children.

She one day dreams of sailing the Caribbean on her own boat.
