Champions Challenge Assembly

Submitted by linda.beck on

The Champions Challenge officially kicked off this week with a special assembly that touched on the importance of reading and Nebo School District’s “Choose2Matter” theme. It featured Miss Rodeo 2017 McKenna Hales and barrelman and rodeo clown Kevin Higley showing off their skills and teaching lessons.

Through the Champion Rodeo Reading Challenge students are being encouraged to read as much as they can for a chance to participate in the June rodeo and win some cowboy gear.

The two winners from our school will get to help with the rodeo’s opening ceremonies and receive a new pair of boots, jeans and cowboy hat.

Mrs. Nelson was a good sport and participated in the clown's act!

Make sure your students read this month and keep track of their hours. At the end of the month they can turn in their reading calendar and put their name in the drawing to be the representatives for our school.
