Bike Helmets Donated by the Utah County Health Department

Submitted by trisha.olsen on

Over 100 BIKE HELMETS were given away on Wednesday 5/21 as part of the PTA Safety Assembly!  The PTA applied for and received the bike helmets from the Utah County Health Department because of the safety programs we've implemented at East Meadows.  After the Safety Assembly on 5/19 which included Student Council, PTA, a bike safety video and a visit by Officer Warner of the Spanish Fork Police and registering 70 bikes and scooters, we pledged to be safe this summer and year round. THANK YOU to everyone that reviewed the safety pledge and returned it signed. You were entered into the drawing to receive a helmet!  It was fun to see the happy faces of students and teachers as the helmets arrived.  Remember to label your helmet with your name and that the PTA motto of "GREEN means GO safely" is practiced year round so practice safety this summer also. Thank you to East Meadows, the Utah County Health Department, the SFPD and the East Meadows PTA.
