6th-Grade Probability Fair

Put aside paper and pen and learn math through games. On Friday, April 1, East Meadows sixth graders hosted a Probability Fair so students could do just that. The sixth graders have been creating and coming up with games that younger students can play. All of the games will produce results that can be graphed so students can then see how probability works. Looking around the gym one can see that probability plays a role in many common activities. Students had fun with cards, gumball machines, tossing games and spinners. What a fun way to learn math.
