Second Grade had an opportunity to visit the Paleontology Museum, The Bean Museum and Farm Field Days last week. We learned about animals from long ago as well as animals that live now. At Farm Field Days we were able to learn about animals and agriculture. We learned that cows make great lawn mowers and even help to prevent forest fires. The students also learned about: water conservation, the five food groups and nutrition, mom and baby animals, bees, growing wheat, tractor safety, and even how farmers are using 3-D printers to make parts they need for their equipment. We got to see some 3-D printers in action. This was a very informative field trip and we want to thank BYU for their free admission museums and USU, Utah County 4-H, FFA and Harward Farms for putting on Farm Field Days.
