Submitted by trisha.olsen on Tue, 05/27/2014 - 11:37

Over 100 BIKE HELMETS were given away on Wednesday 5/21 as part of the PTA Safety Assembly!  The PTA applied for and received the bike helmets from the Utah County Health Department because of the safety programs we've implemented at East Meadows.  After the Safety Assembly on 5/19 which included Student Council, PTA, a bike safety video and a visit by Officer Warner of the Spanish Fork Police and registering 70 bikes and scooters, we pledged to be safe this summer and year round. THANK YOU to everyone that reviewed the safety pledge and returned it signed.

Safety Assembly

Submitted by trisha.olsen on Tue, 05/20/2014 - 12:02

The PTA and the student council joined together to put on a safety assembly for our students.  With school coming to an end and summer break fast approaching it is good to review some safety tips.  They reviewed such things as bicycle safety, crossing the street safely, wearing the proper clothing,  and stranger and pet danger.  Officer Warner, from the Spanish Fork Police Department talked with students and encouraged them to follow these safety guidelines and to wear helmets when they ride their bikes or scooters.

What's UP? Great Teachers at East Meadows Elementary!

Submitted by trisha.olsen on Mon, 05/19/2014 - 13:17

We have great teachers and staff at East Meadows Elementary.  The PTA, parents and students were able to express appreciation to the many teachers and staff at the school, by providing breakfast one morning, lunch another day and a sweet treat to end the week.  The students could purchase carnations and give them their teacher.  Thank you to all who helped in any way!  Thank you teachers for making East Meadows the BEST school!
