BYU's Young Theater Company performs for East Meadows

Submitted by trisha.olsen on

The Young Theater Company from Brigham Young University performed Shakespeare’s play “Cymbeline,” for an assembly today.  This play was lightheartedly adapted and directed by Teresa Dayley Love. The students were thrilled as some of our very own children were chosen to be actors and perform on stage. The 2nd and 6th grades enjoyed a workshop put on by the college students.

Box Tops Rootbeer Float Party!

Submitted by trisha.olsen on

Three classes went the extra mile and returned the most boxtops for our Box Tops Drive, winning a rootbeer float party.  Mrs. Rowland's class was the winner, with Mrs. Hogle's coming in second and Mrs. Aguero's third.  We want to thank all the students, parents, and grandparents that take time to clip box tops and send them in with our students.  The money received goes directly to our school. Please continue to send them in with your students. Congratulations to our 3 classes!

Dental Health Assembly

Submitted by trisha.olsen on

The Kindergarten through third-grade students at East Meadows Elementary were entertained by puppets, Rocky and Douglas the dinosaurs today at the Dental Health Assembly. They learned to brush their teeth twice a day, floss once a day, and see the dentist twice a year. They learned to take care of their teeth so their teeth wont become extinct.
